Getting Here

Being a prime tourist destination, getting in and around Hawaii won’t have you breaking a sweat.

By Air

The main entry point for most people would by the Honolulu International Airport in Oahu. This airport services all domestic flights and several international ones as well. This would probably be your best bet especially if you plan on visiting islands such as Lanai and Molokai, though airports in Maui, Kauai and the Big Island also receive direct flights from the US Mainland. The Wiki-Wiki Shuttle will take you to and from gates to terminals at no cost.

Once in Hawaii, you can easily go to the other islands by hopping on one of three inter-island airlines: Hawaiian Airlines, Island Air, and Pacific Wings. You can either ride the Wiki-Wiki Shuttle to the inter-island terminals, or stretch your feet with the 10- to 15-minute walk.

By Water

Ferry services are available daily from Maui’s Lahaina Harbor to Manele Bay in Lanai. The ferry goes to Kaunakakai Harbor in Molokai, too.

By Land

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Bus tours are great for discovering Hawaii and its history. Our hotels will gladly make the arrangements for you.

Airport Waikiki Express is a direct service bus that drives you to and from your hotel’s doorstep. “The Bus”, Oahu’s city buses, is an inexpensive way to go around Oahu and Waikiki.

Limo services for that luxury travel can be arranged by your hotel. Taxi cabs are also available in the islands, as are shuttles and other public transport.

The best way to explore Hawaii’s islands, though, is by going off on your own. With so much to see and so many photo opportunities, you might want to consider renting a car. Make your reservations in advance, since rental vehicles may be limited in some islands.
